Transition Year
Home » Transition Year
Transition Year is an optional one-year program that enables students to make the transition to the Senior Cycle more successfully. This is an academically focused year that requires a high level of input from each student.
We offer a broad and varied program of activities throughout the year, which aims to introduce students to new and interesting subjects and allow them to develop new life skills.
A planned schedule of activities is developed for each term, ranging from trips to workshops and speakers, work experience, and community care.
A particular highlight is the in-school initiatives such as Green Schools, Amber Flag, Architects in Schools, Young Social Innovators, Microsoft Dream Space & many more.
It is the development of independent learning, the commitment with which the wide-ranging activities are engaged, and the support and encouragement of parents/guardians that leads to the success of each Transition Year.
